We spent most of June just hanging out, enjoying our new house (when we weren't "working" on it), and enjoying the great outdoors.

Our New House!

We bought a new house at the end of April and moved in at the end of May. We spent the month of April painting, putting in new counter tops, refinishing the floors, and getting things moved bit by bit. We love it and we are so excited to be done with all of the moving!

In an attempt to get caught up on my posts, here are some of our happenings in March.

Aunt Staci's parent's dog, Bella, died suddenly and our Bella went to live with them.

Winter Wonderland

It has been a pretty crazy 2 weeks! We spent President's Day Weekend in Elkin with the Batusic family and drove back just in time on Monday to get home before the ice storm hit.  We were so grateful that we had power throughout the week (we only lost it for an hour in the middle of the night) as many were without power for up to 4 days!  This was our first ice storm since moving here in 2007 and it was gorgeous (although crazy dangerous)! We were out of school for several days - it was fun to just cuddle up with the girls on those cold mornings!

After the ice thawed, we finally had school on Friday (a delayed start). We had a regular school day on Monday, and then got some snow on Monday night - just enough to make a mini snowman!

School was cancelled on Tuesday and then we had a teacher workday on Wednesday. We left on Wednesday just in time to get home and watch it snow again! This time, we got about 4 inches and school was cancelled once again! We had fun playing in the snow - the girls LOVE the snow!

Check out those gloves! We don't have snow gloves for the girls so they just have regular gloves with latex gloves over top - oh well, that's how we roll!

If rubber gloves weren't ghetto enough, let's just wear our jammies with some rain boots!

We have another teacher workday tomorrow (Friday) and then hopefully things will get back to normal next week!

Let's go for a hike

The girls love hiking, so we've been trying to go whenever we can and when the weather is nice. This was a trip to Desoto Falls.
