How Can it Be?

How can it be that our sweet babies are already 6 months old?!  Although certain stages have seemed to last FOREVER, time as a whole has FLOWN by! We are amazed each and every day at the gifts God has entrusted to us and hope we remember to cherish every moment we have with them!

Our girls are growing and changing every day!  They have lots of new faces and tricks and it is so fun to watch them learn new things!  They are much more content when they are awake (most of the time - thank goodness for prescription gas drops!) and are sleeping most nights from about 8:30-7:00.  They still aren't fabuluous nappers, but they are improving:)  They are eating oatmeal cereal 3 times a day mixed with homemade baby food - so far we have tried peas, sweet potatoes, bananas, peaches, and pears....next up, carrots, squash, apples, and watermelon!

Anna Elise:
We think Anna is going to be our little "fit thrower".  When I feed the girls their food, I have to do it one at a time or else they make a MESS when they put their hands in their mouths.  If I feed Kate first and Anna has to watch and wait, she lets me know that she is NOT HAPPY that she didn't get to go first.  Also, the other night, she wanted Phil to walk around holding her rather than sit with her on the couch.  She threw a full-fledged fit about it...arching her back and throwing her head!  Oh what fun there is to come!

Anna is rolling from her tummy to her back, but after her initial roll from her back to her tummy awhile ago, she hasn't really done it much since.  She loves to scoot around on her back, play on her play mat, and play in the exersaucer.  She is grabbing toys with her hands and sits really well in the Bumbo.  What a joy she is! She smiles a ton and laughs at mommy (for some reason she doesn't think daddy is all that funny!) and loves to squeal and babble.

Here are Anna's 6 month stats:

Weight - 14 lbs. 3 oz (15th percentile)
Height - 24 3/4 in. (15th percentile)
Head - 16 3/4 in. (55th percentile)

Kate Linley:
Kate is a little bit more laid back than Anna.  Kate is also a better sleeper than Anna, especially during naps...I often have to wake Kate up from her naps because Anna is ready to eat!  Kate almost always wakes up happy, just babbling away in her crib.

Kate is rolling from her back to her tummy.  She is constantly rolling over, but then gets upset because she doesn't necessarily love being on her tummy and she can't always roll back over. She loves to stand while you hold her hands, play on her play mat, and play in the exersaucer.  She is also grabbing toys with her hands and sits really well in the Bumbo.  She is such a sweetheart! She always greets me with a grin when  I get her out of her crib and laughs at mommy and her sister.

Here are Kate's 6 month stats:

Weight - 13 lbs. 10 oz (10th percentile)
Height - 24 3/4 in. (15th percentile)
Head - 16 3/4 in. (55th percentile)
